MAT Syllabus 2018-2019 Format for Students

Language Comprehension:

The Language Comprehension section consists of two sections, such as Reading Comprehension and English Vocabulary & Grammar. It includes important topics like Syllogisms, Synonyms,  Antonyms, Verbal Reasoning, , Using the same word with different meaning, Idioms, phrase, Contextual Usage, Analogies, One word substitution, Fill in the blanks, Odd man out, Jumbled Paragraphs, Sentence Completion, Error Detection, Sentence Correction, and Foreign language words used in English.

Mathematical Skills:

The Math section contains the topics like Number system, HCF & LCM, Ratios and Proportions, Work and Time, Time-Speed-Distance, Profit and Loss, In equations Quadratic & linear equations (Inequalities) , Geometry, Percentages, Algebra, Averages, Geometric Progression, Partnership (Accounts), SI & CI (Simple Interest and Compound Interest), and Vectors.

Data Analysis and Sufficiency:

This section consists some questions of Data Interpretation are mostly based on different graphs such as Table Charts, Pie Chart, Line Charts, Bar Graphs, Graphs, Column Graphs, Venn diagram, Puzzles, Series, Data Sufficiency, and many others.

General Intelligence and Critical Reasoning:

This part includes Mathematical Reasoning, Critical Reasoning, Verbal Ability Question, and some different topics like Statements & Assumptions, Matrix arrangements, Coding and Decoding, Sequencing, Visual reasoning, Identifying valid interferences, Assumption-Premise-Conclusion, Statement & Conclusion, Assertion & Reasons, Identifying reasons, Effect & Cause, Linear arrangements, Family tree, and more.

Indian and Global Environment:

This section contains the questions asked from various topics like General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Science, Geography, History, Business, Quotations from important personalities, Books and authors, Awards, Major events in corporate, Company punch lines, Top officials of big companies, Entertainment, Politics, Sports, and more others.
