The term GRE stands for Graduate Record Examination is a standardized test for the students interested in gaining admissions to the Master’s degree such as MS, MSC, MCOMGRE-Syllabus-2018, MBA, MTECH, etc. at the greatest and top-most graduate and business colleges and university in the US. You need a bachelor’s degree to take GRE test as it is the minimum requirement for this test. In this year 2018, some changes are introduced in the syllabus of GRE 2018. Analytical Writing Section:

The Analytical Writing section is divided into two segments:

First, one is Analyze an Issue, where you will be provided with the statement that makes a claim or takes a stand on a general topic. The task measures your ability to think critically and express yourself coherently in written format.

And the second, one is Analyze an Argument, where you will be provided the author’s point of view and will be asked to question it, critique it, and weigh the logic of the statement. The task emphasizes on assessing a student’s critical and analytical thinking capabilities.

Verbal Reasoning Section:

This section checks your ability to examine and draw conclusions from discourse, reason from incomplete data. The Verbal Reasoning section includes the topics like Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correctness, Finding Errors, Text Completion, Sentence Equivalence, strong vocabulary, Verb Tense, Idioms & Idiomatic Expressions, Pronoun Agreement, Subject-Verb Agreement, Modifiers, Parallelism, and the Basic Sentence structure: Nouns, Pronouns, and Adjectives, etc.

Quantitative Reasoning Section:

In Quantitative Reasoning, examiner measures your ability to understand quantitative information. This section consists of the topics: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Data Interpretation & Data Analysis, Number Systems, Percentage, Ratio And Proportion, Profit and loss, Simple And Compound Interest, Distance, Speed,  & time, Permutation & combination, Linear equations, Quadratic equations, Sets Theory, Statistics: Average, Median, Mode, Range, Standard deviation, Powers and roots, Probability, Pipes, cisterns, work, time, Lines and angles, Triangles, Polygon, Quadrilateral, Circles, Co-ordinate geometry, Volume and surface area etc.
